MyExplorerBar is add-on enhancement for Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer.  MyExplorerBar integrates directly with Explorer window -- it acts as communication band.  MyExplorerBar provides features missed by many users of Windows Explorer, that is, selection masks for selecting files with the same characteristics (e.g., "my*.tx?"), fast access to favorite folders and shortcuts to favorite programs, files or WWW links.  It makes also possible fast searching of the internet.  All items are arranged inside fully customizable toolbars, so they can be accessed usually by one or two mouse clicks.  MyExplorerBar supports drag and drop for easy customization as well as set of Add Wizards.

MyExplorerBar and Internet Explorer 5.0:

MyExplorerBar is not showing up automatically in Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer window on some systems with Internet Explorer 5.0 installed.   This problem is caused by a bug inside IE 5.0 and the only workaround is to update IE 5.0 to IE 5.01 or higher. 

(Technical explanation: MyExplorerBar uses a Browser Helper Object (BHO) technology to show up itself inside IE or WE window.  IE 5.0 contains a bug causing that only one BHO can be loaded.  If there are more BHOs installed then MyExplorerBar's BHO is not loaded and MyExplorerBar does not show up automatically.   More detailed description of this IE bug can be found at the following link pointing to an article (ID:Q229970) inside Microsoft Knowledge Base:
